Experimental Study on Bio-oil Production by Pyrolysis of Beer Lees
Beer lees are the most important by-product in beer production, and the output is huge.In order to maximize the energy utilization of beer lees, the pyrolysis experiment of beer lees was carried out in a fixed bed to study the suitable operating conditions for making bio-oil from beer lees. The experimental results show that when the heating rate is 20℃/min and the pyrolysis final temperature is 600℃,the highest bio-oil yield is 46.79%(in terms of mass fraction, the same below),the biochar yield is 30.68%,and the non-condensable gas yield is 22.53%.At this time, the highest calorific value of bio-oil is 28.42 MJ/kg,the lowest acid value is 96.41 mgKOH/g,and the performance of bio-oil is the best. The results show that beer lees are good raw materials for producing bio-oil.
