This paper summarizes the production characteristics of sulfur recovery unit in coal chemical projects.By studying the production process,analyzing the characteristics of production materials,key points of design can be confirmed.The main buildings and structures of each section are analyzed according to involved media,and the key points of building design such as fire prevention,explosion prevention,corrosion prevention and seepage prevention are summarized.The equipment layout and typical plan and section examples of buildings are given,as well as the problems that may be encountered in the construction process such as design,construction and acceptance.This paper focuses especially on the anti-corrosion design,construction points,operation and maintenance of liquid sulfur tank.This paper can help architectural designers to quickly grasp the key points of sulfur recovery unit design,and at the same time play an auxiliary role in leading specialties on equipment layout,provide a reference for the whole process of sulfur recovery project construction to put into operation.
