LNG terminal involves Class A hazardous medium of natural gas,and according to the experience of domestic and foreign projects, once a fire occurs,it will cause serious consequences.Based on this, the relevant facilities on the ground of the terminal, such as pressure vessels, steel structures, fire pipes, etc.,need to be carefully considered for fire protection design. This paper provides reference for fire prevention design of other similar projects by analyzing the fire prevention measures of above ground facilities in LNG terminals. The paper provides an in-depth analysis and introduction to fire prevention design from two aspects:active fire prevention and passive fire prevention, including fire protection systems, linkage logic of fire water pumps, selection principles of fire monitors,as well as fire conditions of safety valves and fire prevention materials. At the same time, regarding the certification of fire-resistant materials,a comparison is made with foreign project schemes, combined with engineering experience, and from the perspective of third party certification, this paper focuses on personal views.Suggestions are also put forward for the current certification process, providing reference for similar projects in the future.
