Application of Carbon Fiber Composite Materials in Chemical Column Internals
With the rapid rise of the domestic new energy vehicle industry,there is a strong demand for dimethyl carbonate(DMC)used for battery electrolytes.The core equipment for producing dimethyl carbonate(DMC)using methanol gas-phase oxidative carbonylation method is the light component removal column.Due to the presence of hydrogen chloride(HCL)gas in its internal medium,the original titanium column internals are severely corroded,resulting in a short service life and seriously affecting the normal operation of the DMC equipment.By replacing the internals of the column with carbon fiber composite materials,the service life of the equipment is greatly extended,the maintenance cycle is prolonged,and the application effect is good,which is very worthy of promotion.This paper elaborates on the use of carbon fiber composite materials in the light component removal column,explores the advantages and disadvantages of column internals made of carbon fiber composite material,compares the corrosion resistance and cost of column internals made of different materials,and finally,based on the characteristics of carbon fiber composite material products,looks forward to the application of carbon fiber composite materials in the field of chemical industry.
