摘要

随着人类活动的加剧,全球环境生态问题正日益凸显,尤其是生物多样性和一健康(One Health)的议题,这也迫使传统的环境工程教育需要在培养人才时融入生物学知识及应用生物学原理的情境.探讨了将生物学融入环境工程进行跨学科教育的重要性,并阐述了厦门理工学院环境生态工程系在此融合教育上所作出的创新性尝试.详细介绍了该系从一年级到四年级的课程设置与内容,强调了以工业实践需求为导向将生物学理论在环境工程学实践中的高度结合.该模式已在与相关企业合作的实践项目中得到验证,并吸引到更多家公司和研究机构的广泛合作,为学生提供了较为丰富的研究和实习机会.总体而言,厦门理工学院环境生态工程系的跨学科融合策略为环境工程背景的学生提供了更坚实的理论基础和更广泛的就业前景,同时加强了校企间的紧密合作.

Abstract

As human activities escalate,global ecological and environmental challenges are becoming increasingly evident,especially in areas of biodiversity and the"One Health"initiative.This trend has necessitated a shift in traditional environmental engineering education,urging the incorporation of biological knowledge and the application of its principles when molding the next generation of experts.This article underscores the significance of integrating biology into environmental engineering as a facet of interdisciplinary education.It expounds on the avant-garde endeavors undertaken by the Department of Environmental and Ecological Engineering at Xiamen University of Technology.It provides a comprehensive overview of the department's curriculum spanning from the freshman to senior years,emphasizing the profound amalgamation of biological theories with real-world environmental engineering practices,guided by the needs of industrial applications.This pedagogical model has been affirmed through hands-on projects in collaboration with pertinent enterprises and has attracted many companies and research institutions,thereby enriching students'research and internship opportunities.The interdisciplinary integration strategy employed by the Department of Environmental and Ecological Engineering at Xiamen University of Technology equips students from an environmental engineering background with a solid theoretical foundation and broadens their career horizons.Concurrently,it fosters a tighter bond between academia and industry.
