Treatment and study of hydrogen sulfide reversed peak in gas by gas chromatography
Various malfunctions are inevitable during the use of gas chromatography.Focusing on the problem of reversed peaks in the chromatographic analysis of constant hydrogen sulfide in coal-based syngas, this study conducted experiments to eliminate the influence of sample moisture, carrier gas purity, carrier gas leakage, and column head blockage on the hydrogen sulfide peaks.Ultimately,it was found that the operation at a high temperature of the thermal conductivity detector damaged the column head connecting the detector, affecting the normal peak of hydrogen sulfide. To quickly solve faults and recover normal instrument operation,it is necessary to find the root cause of the problem and take corresponding measures to ensure the stability of the instrument, the accuracy of each component's quantification, and improve the reproducibility and accuracy of analytical data. This helps to reduce instrument maintenance and calibration periods, repair costs, and ensure normal analysis and detection. This paper is only for reference for gas chromatography maintenance and operation personnel.
