Simultaneous Determination of Total Nitrogen and Ammonia Nitrogen in Surface Water Using Continuous Flow Analysis Method
Based on the characteristics of surface water,in order to fully understand the practical value of continuous flow analysis method in the determination of total nitrogen and ammonia nitrogen. This study collected surface water samples and used continuous flow analysis and manual methods for measurement, and statistically analyzed the detection results of the two methods. The correlation coefficients(r)within the linear range of continuous flow analysis for detecting total nitrogen and ammonia nitrogen are 0.9998 and 0.9997,respectively,with detection limits of 0.04 mg/L.The relative standard deviations of total nitrogen and ammonia nitrogen for precision detection are within the range of 1.11%-2.38%and 0.76%-1.28%,respectively.Compared with manual methods, the accuracy error of the continuous flow analysis method for detecting total nitrogen and ammonia nitrogen samples is lower, and the accuracy meets the requirements. It has been confirmed that in surface water detection, the continuous flow analysis method is not only simpler, more convenient, and faster to operate, but also has higher precision and accuracy, which can better meet laboratory quality control requirements and can be applied to the determination of large quantities of surface water samples.
