Study on the Adsorption Performance of Different Biochar for Y3+
Biochar is a widely used adsorbent for heavy metal ions to explore the conditions for efficient adsorption of yttrium ions(Y3+)by different types of Biochar, this study focused on three types of Biochar:sewage peat(WBC),pig manure charcoal(ZBC),rice husk charcoal(DBC),and Y3+.Adsorption experiments were conducted to investigate the effects of different factors on the adsorption efficiency. The results show that the optimal environment for Y3+adsorption is when the addition amount of Biochar is 1.5 g and the solution pH is greater than 5.At the same time,it is the most economical and has the highest adsorption efficiency.Temperature and initial concentration have a significant impact on Y3+adsorption;The adsorption kinetics and isothermal adsorption analysis indicate that the adsorption process conforms to the quasi second order kinetic model and Langmuir model, indicating that the process is a single-layer adsorption process; This study provides suitable adsorbents and optimal conditions for the adsorption of rare earth Y3+,and provides theoretical support for the post mining remediation of ion type rare earth mining areas.
