Study on the Application of Fenton-Like PAC Coupling Process for the Pre-Treatment of Amine Oxidation Wastewater
Addresses the issues of poor biodegradability in amine oxidation wastewater and membrane fouling caused by powdered activated carbon(PAC)in the MBR process.By improving the application mode of PAC,the loss of PAC is reduced, while simultaneously enhancing the pre-treatment effects of the pre-acidification process and the biodegradability of the wastewater.Adsorption test results indicate that PAC can adsorb and reduce the COD of amine oxidation wastewater, with the removal rate increasing as the amount of PAC added increases, showing the best removal effect on small molecular weight compounds such as acetone oxime.Industrial application results show that under Fenton-like PAC coupling, cyclohexanone oxime is mainly oxidized and degraded into small molecular organic substances, which are then adsorbed and removed by PAC;in addition, the adsorbed PAC can be oxidatively regenerated to a certain extent and reused. The main principle of COD removal by Fenton-like PAC is the oxidation and degradation of organic matter by hydroxyl radicals(·OH),the coordination action of oxygen-containing functional groups on the surface of activated carbon, and the adsorption by the network formed.
