The Application of Pt-W/Al2O3 Catalyzed Transformer Oil Transfer Hydrogenated by Ammonium Formate
Pt-W/Al2O3 were synthesized by wet-impregnation method to catalyze transfer hydrogenation of aged transformer oil, with which ammonium formate as the hydrogen donor and ethanol as the solvent,to realize the recycling of transformer oil.Attribute to the abundant acidic sites in Pt-W/Al2O3,the Platinum-Tungsten dual-acting catalysts demonstrated superior performance to the single-acting catalysts such as Pd/C,Pd/Al2O3 and Pt/Al2O3.The process was optimized by applying response surface methodology(RSM)through regression analysis. The confidence of model has been verified. The results showed that the optimal process conditions were 39%of ammonium formate,2.35%of catalyst, and 69 ℃ of temperature. The decolorization rate and deacidification rate of hydrogenated transformer oil with these conditions reached 98.1%and 97.4%,respectively.The main properties of hydrogenated oil can reach the new oil indexes stipulated by the national standard.
