The Ligand Exchange Reaction Spectrophotometric Method for Determination on the Content of Calcium Disodium Edetate Injection
The green ternary complexes were formed by the reaction of copper ion, zincon and bromogeramine in the pH 5.00 buffer solution, which the maximum absorption wavelength of the complexes was at 610 nm.The ligand exchange reaction led to the fading reaction on decomposition of the green ternary complexes and formation of the calcium copper edetate complexes[EDTACu]Ca by addition of calcium disodium edetat[EDTACa]Na2.The new method was proposed for assay determination of calcium disodium edetate with the ligand exchange reaction spectrophotometric method under optimization, whereas the linear range obeyed the Beer's law at the calcium disodium edetat concentration ranges of 1-12 mg·L-1 with the linear regression equation of the working courve A=0.049C+0.012 5 and the correlation coefficent R=0.999 6.The proposed method was simple and fast to successful assay determination of calcium disodium edetate injection.
