In response to the demand for online detection of phenol pipelines in chemical plants, different diameter samples containing buried defects were made, and appropriate radiographic process parameters were selected.Digital radiographic testing tests were conducted under two working conditions with and without media to study the detection of defects. After comparing the test results,it was found that volume type defects such as porosity and incomplete welding can be effectively detected for medium containing pipelines with a diameter of DN 250 mm and below, while area type defects such as cracks could be detected under certain conditions, indicating the feasibility of digital ray online detection for phenol pipelines.
