Considering the fact that water bath heating has characteristics of complex time,difficulty in controlling the materials temperature and a long time needed for the materials to reach a stable tempera-ture,a model predictive control strategy based on the physical model was proposed.In which,having the system model established,the system heating power considered and the output power adjusted by weighting operation to dynamically control the system;and then,having the deviation between the material tempera-ture and the set temperature monitored and the increment of heating tube power adjusted to change the heating power rapidly and shorten the time required to reach the set temperature.The simulation results show that,the strategy proposed can effectively track the set temperature,improve heating efficiency of the water bath,reduce the energy consumption,enhance the stability and controllability of the heating process and provide an effective solution for optimizing the heating process of the water bath.
