Ultrasound-guided Nasoenteric Tube Placement in Critically Ill Patients
Objective To investigate the application of ultrasound-guided nasoenteric tube placement in critically ill patients. Methods 60 cases of critically ill patients admitted to Jieyang People's Hospital from July 2021 to July 2023 were randomly selected as research subjects, and they were divided into the control group and the research group by randomized table method,30 cases in each group;the control group was treated with traditional blind insertion method, and the research group was treated with ultrasound-guided nasoenteric catheterization. The two groups were compared in terms of successful tube placement rate, successful tube placement time, complications and vital monitor-ing indexes. Results The success rate of tube placement in the study group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The complication rate of the study group(6.67%)was lower than that of the control group(26.67%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.455,P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the comparison of blood oxygen saturation after tube placement between the two groups(P>0.05).After tube placement, the range of fluctuation of heart rate, respiratory rate, and mean arterial pressure in the study group were better than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion Ultrasound-guided nasoenteric tube placement in critically ill patients can reduce the occur-rence of complications, improve the success rate of tube placement and shorten the time of tube placement.
