Effects of Huatan Quyu Tongmai Decoction on Myocardial Injury in El-derly Patients with Acute Heart Failure
Objective To investigate the effect of Huatan Quyu Tongmai decoction on myocardial injury in elderly pa-tients with acute heart failure(referred to as heart failure).Methods Ninety-two elderly patients with acute heart fail-ure admitted to Shandong Taishan Hospital and Yantaishan Hospital between August 2021 and October 2022 were conveniently selected as study subjects and divided into 46 cases each in the control group and the observation group according to the method of random draw.The control group was treated with conventional anti-heart failure therapy,and the observation group was treated with Huatan Quyu Tongmai decoction on the basis of conventional symptom-atic therapy.The clinical total effective rate,myocardial injury and drug safety were compared between the two groups.Results After two weeks of treatment,the total effective rate of the observation group(95.65%)was higher than that of the control group(80.43%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=5.059,P<0.05).The levels of amino terminal B-type brain natriuretic peptide precursor,B-type brain natriuretic peptide and troponin T in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The effect of Huatan Quyu Tongmai decoction is more satisfactory,which helps to improve the degree of myocardial injury and alleviate the symptoms of elderly patients with acute heart failure,and is safe and reliable.
