Clinical Outcome of Early Cranial Bone Repair for Postoperative Cranial Bone Defects after Craniocerebral Trauma
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of early cranial bone repair in the treatment of postoperative cranial bone defects after craniocerebral trauma. Methods 60 patients with postoperative cranial bone defects after cra-niocerebral trauma admitted to Quanzhou Taiwanese Investment Zone Hospital from January 2020 to January 2023 were randomly selected as the study subjects, and were divided into observation group(n=30,treated with early cra-nial bone repair)and control group(n=30,treated with late cranial bone repair)by the method of randomized numeri-cal table.Karnofsky functional status, operation time, intraoperative bleeding, treatment effect, and prognosis were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the Karnofsky functional status score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no statistically significant difference in the amount of blood loss and operation time between the two groups(both P>0.05).The total effective rate of the observation group was 96.67%,which was higher than that of the control group(80.00%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.043,P<0.05).The good prognosis rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The imple-mentation of early cranial bone repair treatment for patients with postoperative cranial bone defects after craniocere-bral trauma can improve the patient's Karnofsky functional status, improve the clinical therapeutic effect, and benefit the patient's prognosis.
