Effectiveness of Small-incision Non-ultrasound Emulsification Cataract Surgery in the Treatment of Hard-core Cataracts
Objective To study the treatment effect and application value of small-incision non-ultrasound cataract surgery for patients with hard-core cataract. Methods 80 patients with hard-core cataract admitted to Linyi People's Hospital from January 2021 to January 2023 were randomly selected as the study objects. They were divided into study group and reference group by random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The reference group re-ceived conventional phacoemulsification cataract surgery, and the study group received small-incision non-phacoemulsification cataract surgery. The ocular indexes, clinical efficacy, and complication rate of the two groups were compared. Results The visual acuity of the study group(0.46±0.11)was better than that of the control group(0.32±0.10),and the difference was statistically significant(t=5.956,P<0.05).The clinical efficacy of sclerotic cata-ract patients in the study group(100.00%)was significantly higher than that in the reference group(70.00%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=14.117,P<0.05).The complication rate of patients with hardcore cataract in the study group was 2.50%significantly lower than that in the reference group,15.00%,and the difference was statisti-cally significant(χ2=3.914,P<0.05).Conclusion Small-incision non-ultrasound emulsification cataract surgery in pa-tients with hard-core cataracts can significantly improve the clinical efficacy of patients with hard core cataracts,re-store ocular indexes, and reduce the incidence of complications.
