Analysis of Influential Factors on Failure of Endovascular Recanalization in Patients with Non-acute Symptomatic Internal Carotid Artery Occlu-sion
Objective To explore the influential factors of failure of endovascular recanalization therapy in patients with non-acute symptomatic internal carotid artery occlusion. Methods 54 patients with non-acute symptomatic ICAO admitted to Wuming Hospital Affiliated to Guangxi Medical University from January 2017 to August 2023 were conve-niently selected as the study subjects.Intravascular revascularization treatment was performed on the patients, who were divided into successful group(n=48)and unsuccessful group(n=6)according to the surgical results.Clinical data of the patients were collected. The factors affecting the success rate of intravascular recanalization and the opening failure of internal carotid artery occlusion were analyzed. Results The success rate of endovascular recanalization in patients with non-acute symptomatic internal carotid artery occlusion was 88.89%,the proportion of hypertension, coronary heart disease and hyperlipidemia in the successful group was lower than that in the unsuccessful group, the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05),and there were no statistically significant differences in other in-dicators between the two groups(all P>0.05).Logistic multivariate regression analysis showed that hypertension,coro-nary heart disease and hyperlipidemia were independent risk factors for internal carotid artery occlusion failure(OR= 1.328,1.521,1.234,all P<0.05).Conclusion Endovascular recanalization for non-acute symptomatic ICAO has a high success rate of endovascular recanalization, but the factors of hypertension, coronary heart disease, and hyperlip-idemia also affect the prognostic status of patients.Therefore,long-term follow-up is still needed to further observe the feasibility and safety of endovascular recanalization treatment.
