Objective To analyze the effect of warm acupuncture combined with Longdanxiegan decoction in the treat-ment of postherpetic neuralgia.Methods A total of one hundred and twelve patients with postherpetic neuralgia treated in Tengzhou Central People's Hospital from April 2019 to April 2023 were conveniently selected as the study objects and divided into two groups by random number table method,with fifty-six cases in each group.The control group received conventional Western medicine treatment,the observation group received warm acupuncture combined with Longdanxiegan decoction treatment.Pain degree,sleep quality,clinical efficacy and complications were com-pared between groups.Results There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in pain degree before intervention(P>0.05).After intervention,the observation group was lower than that in the control group,the dif-ference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in sleep quality scores before inter-vention(P>0.05).The sleep quality score of observation group was lower than that of control group after intervention,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the observation group was 98.21%higher than 85.71%of control group,the difference was statistically significant(χ2=5.920,P<0.05).The complication rate of observation group was lower than that of control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of warm acupuncture combined with Longdanxiegan decoction in the treatment of posther-petic neuralgia can effectively reduce the pain of patients,improve the sleep quality of patients,achieve significant therapeutic effect in the treatment,reduce the risk of complications in patients.
