Effects of Electroacupuncture Combined with Medium Frequency Electro-therapy on the Adverse Reactions and Effects of Temporomandibular Joint Disorders
Objective To investigate the effect of electroacupuncture combined with medium frequency electrotherapy in patients with temporomandibular joint disorder,and to evaluate the effect of adverse reactions in patients.Methods A total of 60 patients diagnosed with temporomandibular joint disorders by clinical examination admitted to 901 Hos-pital of Joint Logistics Support Force from January 2022 to August 2023 were randomly selected as the research ob-jects.They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method,with 30 cases in each group.The patients in the control group were treated with block therapy,and the patients in the observation group were treated with electroacupuncture combined with medium-frequency electrotherapeutic apparatus.The clini-cal effects were compared,and the evaluation indicators included clinical treatment efficiency,pain score,Helkimo dysfunction index and the incidence of adverse reactions.Results The clinical effective rate of the observation group was 96.67%,which was significantly higher than 80.00%of the control group,the difference was statistically signifi-cant(χ2=4.043,P＜0.05).Before treatment,there was no statistically significant difference in Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)score between the two groups(P＞0.05).After treatment,the VAS score of the observation group was signifi-cantly lower than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The Helkimo dys-function index of the observation group was lower than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically sig-nificant(P＜0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group(13.33%)was lower than that in the con-trol group(23.33%),but the difference was not statistically significant(χ2=1.002,P＞0.05).Conclusion Electroacu-puncture combined with medium frequency electrotherapy for temporomandibular joint disorders is safe and effective,which can effectively improve clinical symptoms and promote functional recovery.
