Clinical Application of Three-dimensional Conformal Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy in the Treatment of Head and Neck Tumors
Objective To explore the clinical application of three-dimensional conformal intensity modulated radio-therapy in the treatment of head and neck tumors. Methods A total of 122 patients with head and neck cancer admit-ted to Jilin Provincial Cancer Hospital from December 2021 to March 2022 were conveniently selected as the study ob-jects and randomly divided into control group and observation group. The control group received three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy, and the observation group received three-dimensional conformal intensity modulated radio-therapy.The symptoms, quality of life and clinical efficacy of the two groups in different time periods were observed. Results The symptom scores of dry mouth, pain, dysphagia and dysphagia in the observation group were better than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The occurrence of adverse re-actions in the observation group was less than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate treatment the observation group was 90.16%higher than that of the control group(77.05%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.659,P<0.05).Conclusion Three-dimensional confor-mal intensity modulated radiotherapy can effectively improve the quality of life of patients, improve symptoms, reduce the rate of tumor metastasis and recurrence, and comprehensively improve the value of treatment.
