Objective To explore the therapeutic effect of pirfenidone combined with acetylcysteine on idiopathic pul-monary interstitial fibrosis.Methods Clinical data of 100 patients with idiopathic pulmonary interstitial fibrosis in Shouguang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2018 to January 2023 were retrospectively selected and divided into two groups according to different medication regimens,with 50 cases in each group.The control group was treated with pirfenidone,and the observation group was treated with pirfenidone combined with acetylcyste-ine.The therapeutic effect of the two groups was compared.Results The effective rate of treatment in observation group 96.00%was higher than that in control group(80.00%),the difference was statistically significant(χ2=6.060,P＜0.05).The level of lung function indexes in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in observation group was lower than that in control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The level of pulmonary fibrosis in-dexes in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group,and the difference was statisti-cally significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion The combination of pirfenidone and acetylcysteine can improve the clinical symptoms of patients with idiopathic pulmonary interstitial fibrosis,and the therapeutic effect has been significantly improved.
