Effect of Comprehensive Nursing on Diet and Open-mouth Exercise Com-pliance in Patients with Maxillofacial Tumors and Fractures after Surgery
Objective To explore the effect of comprehensive nursing intervention in nursing care of patients with max-illofacial tumors and fractures after surgery and the influence on patients'diet and open-mouth exercise compliance.Methods A total of 90 patients with maxillofacial tumors and fractures admitted to the Third People's Hospital of Yancheng City from January to September 2023 were randomly selected as the study objects,all of whom received sur-gical treatment.After coin toss method,they were randomly divided into two groups,the control group(45 cases)re-ceived routine nursing,and the observation group(45 cases)received comprehensive nursing intervention.The effects of nursing intervention were evaluated and compared from four aspects:psychological state,diet and open-mouth exer-cise compliance,quality of life and postoperative complications.Results The score of anxiety and depression after nursing in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,and the differences were statistically signifi-cant(both P＜0.05).The total compliance rate of diet and mouth opening exercise in the observation group was 95.56%,which was significantly higher than that in the control group(80.00%),and the difference was statistically sig-nificant(χ2=5.075,P=0.024).The life quality score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications in the observa-tion group was lower than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion Comprehensive nursing is of great significance in nursing patients with maxillofacial tumors and fractures after sur-gery,especially in maintaining patients'optimistic attitude,improving their diet and open-mouth exercise compliance and quality of life,and reducing the probability of postoperative complications.
