Evaluation of Recovery Effect and Complications of Metacarpal Phalan-geal Fractures Treated with Internal Fixation of Microplates
Objective To study the recovery effect and complication of metacarpal phalangeal fracture in patients with application of internal fixation with microplates. Methods 56 patients with metacarpal and phalangeal fractures admit-ted to Dongshan County Hospital of Fujian Province from January 2021 to January 2023 were conveniently selected as the study objects, and they were divided into control group and observation group according to random number table method, with 28 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Kirschler's needle internal fixation, and the observation group was treated with micro-plate internal fixation. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. Results The recovery rate of metacarpophalangeal joint function in observation group was 96.43%,which was higher than that in control group(71.43%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.766,P<0.05).The operation time of the observation group was longer than that of the control group, the fracture healing time and the start time of functional exercise were shorter than those of the control group, and the differences were statisti-cally significant(all P<0.05).The pain degree scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the total active finger flexion and quality of life scores were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The treat-ment of metacarpophalangeal fracture with micro-plate internal fixation can significantly improve the recovery effect.Although the operation time of this method is relatively longer,it has fewer complications and less pain symptoms, which helps to improve the quality of life of patients.
