Factors Influencing the Incidence of Anterior Chamber Exudation after Phacoemulsification Cataract Aspiration Combined with IOL Implantation
Objective To investigate the risk factors for anterior chamber exudation in cataract patients treated with phacoemulsification and Intraocular Lens(IOL)implantation. Methods The clinical data of 82 cataract patients who underwent ultrasonic emulsification combined with IOL implantation in the Department of Ophthalmology of Xinghua People's Hospital,Jiangsu Province, from May 2020 to May 2023 were retrospectively selected,Forty-two patients with postoperative anterior chamber exudation and forty patients without postoperative anterior chamber exudation were selected as study group and control group. The medical records of the study group and the control group were ret-rospectively analyzed to analyze the risk factors of anterior chamber exudation in cataract cases after combined sur-gery.Results In unifactor analysis, comparison of high myopia, uveitis, glaucoma, preoperative intraocular pressure, lens nucleus grade, intraoperative posterior lens capsule rupture, and intraoperative accumulated energy complex pa-rameters between study group and control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Multi-variate analysis showed that high myopia, uveitis, glaucoma, preoperative intraocular pressure, lens nucleus grading, intraoperative posterior capsule rupture, and intraoperative accumulated energy of ultrasound were the risk factors for postoperative anterior chamber exudation in cataract patients(OR=4.308,4.369,4.731,4.687,4.468,4.417,4.696,all P<0.05).Conclusion After phacoemulsification combined with IOL implantation, cataract patients are affected by high myopia, uveitis and other factors, and are prone to anterior chamber exudation.
