Effect of Progressive Muscle Relaxation Training Combined with Cogni-tive Behavioral Nursing on Sleep Quality and Quality of Life in Patients with Lung Cancer Undergoing Chemotherapy
Objective To study the effect of progressive muscle relaxation training combined with cognitive behavioral nursing on the sleep quality and quality of life of lung cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. Methods A total of 280 patients with lung cancer treated with chemotherapy from March 2020 to September 2022 from Nanping People's Hospital were simplely randomly selected as the study objects.Random number table method was used for grouping, with 140 patients in each group. The control group received conventional chemotherapy nursing, and the observation group received progressive muscle relaxation training combined with cognitive behavioral nursing. The mood state, compliance behavior, cancer fatigue score, sleep quality and quality of life before and after nursing were compared between the two groups. Results After 4 weeks of nursing, the score of mood state in the observation group(36.89±4.73)points was lower than that in the control group(41.31±5.25)points,and the difference was statistically significant(t=7.401,P<0.05).The total compliance rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores and total scores of the cancer fatigue scale in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The sleep quality score(6.27±1.54)points in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(8.15±1.94)points,and the life quality score(87.38±5.43)points was higher than that in the control group(82.63±5.25)points,and the differences were statistically significant(t=8.981,7.441,both P<0.05).Conclusion Progressive muscle relaxation training combined with cognitive behavioral nursing in patients with lung cancer chemotherapy can improve their mood state, improve their compliance behavior, reduce cancer-related fatigue, and promote the improve-ment of sleep quality and quality of life.
