Influence of Continuous Nursing Based on the Empowerment Theory on Rehabilitation of Patients with Meniscus Injury after Knee Arthroscopy
Objective To explore the influence of continuous nursing based on the theory of empowerment on the reha-bilitation of patients with meniscus injury after knee arthroscopy. Methods A total of 120 patients with meniscus in-jury who received knee arthroscopic surgery in Quanzhou First Hospital of Fujian Province from January 2021 to Janu-ary 2023 were selected randomly as the study objects, and were divided into control group and observation group ac-cording to random number table method, with 60 cases in each group. The control group received traditional continu-ous care, and the observation group received continuous care based on the empowerment theory. The differences of re-habilitation compliance, knee function and nursing satisfaction between the two groups of patients were compared.Re-sults The rehabilitation compliance rate of observation group was higher than that of control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Lysholm knee joint score in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total satisfaction rate of nursing in the ob-servation group was 95.00%,higher than 81.67%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=5.175,P<0.05).Conclusion The continuous nursing based on the empowerment theory can effectively increase the rehabilitation compliance of patients with meniscus injury after discharge from knee arthroscopy, improve knee function, and help to increase nursing satisfaction, which is an ideal continuous nursing model.
