Clinical Study on the Treatment of Thyroid Cancer with Low Collar and Small Arc Incision
Objective To explore the effect of low collar small arc incision in the treatment of thyroid cancer. Methods A total of 84 patients with thyroid cancer admitted to Haian Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2020 to June 2023 were conveniently selected as the study objects and divided into two groups according to random number table method. The control group(42 cases)was treated with traditional open surgery, and the observation group(42 cases)was treated with low-neck small-arc incision.Perioperative indexes, thyroid function, the level of in-flammatory factors and the occurence of postoperative complications were compared between the two groups of pa-tients.Results The operation time of observation group was(70.58±10.96)min,the total hospitalization time was(5.15±1.02)d,the intraoperative blood loss was(30.31±4.22)mL less than that of control group, and the incision length was(3.75±1.02)cm shorter, and the differences were statistically significant(t=10.287,12.190,20.338,19.834,all P<0.05).After operation,The level of free triiodothyronine and serum free thyroxine in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the serum thyrotropin was higher than those in the control group, and tumor ne-crosis factor α and interleukin-6 were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically sig-nificant(all P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Surgical treatment of thyroid cancer can choose the low-collar small arc incision, which is smaller than the traditional open surgery, and the postoperative re-covery of patients is faster, resulting in low inflammatory response and fewer complications.
