Comparison of Iodine-125 Particles and Intensity Modulated Conformal Radiotherapy in the Treatment of Secondary Malignant Tumors of Lymph Nodes
Objective To investigate the effect of Iodine-125 particle and intensity modulated conformal radiotherapy in the treatment of secondary malignant tumors of lymph nodes. Methods 60 patients with secondary malignant tumor of lymph nodes admitted to Yixing Cancer Hospital from March 2020 to September 2022 were randomly selected as the research subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group using a random num-ber table method, with 30 cases in each group. The control group received intensity-modulated radiotherapy, and the observation group received iodine-125 particles.Treatment outcomes, the levels of tumor markers and immune func-tion were compared between the two groups. Results The objective remission rate and disease control rate of the obser-vation group were 86.67%and 96.67%,which were higher than the control group's 63.33%and 76.67%,and the dif-ferences were statistically significant(χ2=4.356,5.192,both P<0.05).Before treatment, there were no statistically sig-nificant differences in the levels of tumor markers between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the levels of tu-mor markers in the observation group were lower than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no statistically significant differences in immune function levels between the two groups of patients before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment, the levels of immune function of the observation group were higher than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Io-dine-125 has a better results in the treatment of patients with secondary lymph node malignancies, and has a promot-ing effect in improving tumor markers and immune function of patients.
