Effect of High Quality Nursing on Cancer Pain Control in Patients with Concurrent Chemoradiotherapy for Thoracic Tumors
Objective To explore the effect of high quality nursing on cancer pain control in patients with concurrent chemoradiotherapy for thoracic tumors. Methods A total of 86 patients with thoracic tumor who received concurrent chemoradiotherapy in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University from August 2020 to April 2023 were conveniently selected as the study objects and divided into a quality group and a control group according to ran-dom number table method, with 43 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, while the high-quality group was given high-quality nursing based on routine nursing.Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)scores,medica-tion compliance and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results After 4 weeks of nursing,VAS scores of both groups were decreased, and the quality group was lower, the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The compliance of the quality group was 97.67%,higher than that of the control group(83.72%),the differ-ence was statistically significant(χ2=4.962,P<0.05).After 4 weeks of nursing, the quality of life score of both groups was higher than that before nursing, and the quality group was higher, the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion High quality nursing can improve the control effect of cancer pain, improve patient compliance and improve the quality of life of patients with thoracic tumor concurrent chemoradiotherapy.
