Effect of Nursing Intervention Mode Based on Protective Motivation Theory on plantar Pressure in Diabetic Patients
Objective To explore the effect of nursing intervention mode based on protective motivation theory on plan-tar pressure in diabetic patients. Methods A total of one hundred and four diabetic patients with abnormal plantar pressure in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region People's Hospital from July 2020 to July 2021 were conveniently se-lected as the study objects, and divided into control group(n=52,conventional nursing)and intervention group(n=52,comprehensive nursing guided by the theory of protective motivation)using random number table method. The relative indexes of plantar pressure before nursing intervention,3,6 and 12 months after nursing intervention(T1,T2,T3,T4)and the occurrence of diabetic foot within 12 months after intervention were compared between the two groups of pa-tients.Results At T2,T3,and T4,the peak plantar pressure, plantar impulse, plantar shear force, vibration sensation threshold, and blood glucose of the intervention group patients were significantly lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The ankle brachial index, foot protection knowledge,self-care behavior, and self-efficacy of the intervention group patients were significantly higher than those of the con-trol group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The incidence of diabetes foot in the interven-tion group within 12 months after nursing intervention was significantly lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Nursing intervention based on protective motivation theory for diabetic patients can improve patients'foot knowledge, foot self-care ability and foot self-efficacy,effec-tively improve patients'plantar pressure, blood glucose level and lower extremity vascular status, and reduce the inci-dence of diabetic foot.
