Analysis of the Effect of Nasal Endoscopic Surgery for Perennial Allergic Rhinitis with Deviated Septum
Objective To analyze the effect of application of nasal endoscopic surgery for perennial allergic rhinitis(AR)with deviated septum. Methods A total of 108 AR patients with deviated septum admitted to Sanming First Hos-pital from January 2021 to October 2023 were conveniently selected as the study objects and were grouped according to the randomized numerical table method.54 cases in the control group were treated with septal correction, and 54 cases in the study group were treated with combined endonasal endoscopic submucosal resection of the nasal septum.Nasal symptom scores, airway responsiveness, complications and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results The scores of nasal symptoms and airway reactivity index in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).Behavioral problems, nasal symp-toms,sleep disorders, ocular symptoms, and other symptom scores were lower in the study group than those in the con-trol group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The total incidence of complications was 9.26%in the study group and 5.56%in the control group, and there was no significant difference between the two groups(χ2=0.540,P>0.05).Conclusion The application of nasal endoscopic surgery for perennial AR with deviated septum is conducive to the improvement of nasal symptoms, the quality of life of patients, and the improvement of air-way responsiveness, and has fewer complications.
