Clinical Effect of Orthodontic Treatment of Impacted Anterior Teeth
Objective To analyze the clinical effect of orthodontic treatment of impacted anterior teeth. Methods Sixty-two patients with impacted anterior teeth admitted to the Stomatology Department of the First People's Hospital of Si-hong County from January 2022 to September 2023 were conveniently selected as the study objects, and were divided into surgical group(31 cases, conventional surgery guided surgery treatment)and orthodontic group(31 cases,orth-odontic treatment)according to treatment measures. The operative effect, complication rate, postoperative pain score and anterior alveolar bone density were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of orthodon-tic group was 100.00%,which was higher than that of surgical group(80.65%),and the difference was statistically sig-nificant(χ2=6.643,P=0.010).The complication rate of orthodontic group was 3.23%,which was lower than that of sur-gical group(22.58%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=5.167,P=0.023).On the 1st day after sur-gery,compare the Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)scores of the two groups, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05),while the VAS scores of the orthodontic group on the 3rd and 5th day after surgery were significantly lower than those of the surgical group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).Before surgery, there was no statistical significance in alveolar bone density between the two groups(P>0.05),while the alveolar bone den-sity in the orthodontic group was significantly higher than that in the surgical group at 3 and 10 d after surgery, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).Conclusion Orthodontic treatment of anterior alveolar im-pacted patients can achieve significant curative effect, and the incidence of postoperative complications and degree of pain are low, which has little influence on the bone density of anterior alveolar teeth.
