Impact of Pain Care Based on Visualization of Patients'Needs on Postop-erative Pain and Quality of Life of Colon Cancer Patients
Objective To explore the effect of pain care based on the visualization of patients'needs on postoperative pain and quality of life of colon cancer patients. Methods A total of 92 colon cancer patients who underwent surgical treatment in the Department of General Surgery of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University from June 2021 to July 2022 were conveniently selected as the study subjects, and were evenly divided into two groups according to the order of surgery, the control group(n=46)and the observation group(n=46).The control group was intervened with conventional pain care, and the observation group was intervened with pain care based on the visualization of patients'needs. The postoperative clinical rehabilitation indexes of the two groups were recorded and compared, and the pain levels of the two groups at 1,3 and 7 d postoperatively were assessed, and the quality of life of the two groups before and after the intervention was evaluated. Results Compared with 1 d after surgery, the Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)scores of patients in both groups decreased at 3 d and 7 d after surgery, and the VAS scores of the observation group were(2.83±1.11)points and(1.75±0.67)points at 3 d and 7 d after surgery, respectively, which were lower than the scores of the control group(3.92±1.18)points and(2.65±0.98)points,and the differences were statistically significant(t=4.563,5.142,both P<0.05).Compared with the pre-intervention period, the scores of the four factors of the Quality of Life Measurement Scale for Cancer Patients in the two groups at 7 d after intervention were significantly higher, the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05),and the scores of physiological status, social status, functional status, and affective status of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group, the differ-ences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The total complication rate in the observation group was 6.52%signifi-cantly lower than the 21.74%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.389,P=0.036).Conclusion The application of pain care based on the visualization of patients'needs for colon cancer patients in the postoperative period is more effective, and the patients'postoperative pain level can be significantly reduced, the qual-ity of life can be effectively improved, and the risk of surgery-related complications is significantly reduced, which has a positive impact on the improvement of the patients'quality of life and long-term survival.
