Curative Effect of Moxibustion Combined with Infrared Irradiation on Type 2 Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy
Objective To observe the effect of combination of infrared radiation therapy and moxibustion on the health of patients with type 2 diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Methods A total of eighty patients with type 2 diabetic periph-eral neuropathy treated in Mingxi County General Hospital from April 2021 to January 2023 were randomly selected as the study objects and grouped by lottery method. The control group received conventional symptomatic treatment, and the observation group was treated with moxibustion and infrared radiation, with 40 cases in each group. The thera-peutic effect, occurrence of adverse reactions, nerve conduction velocity, inflammatory factor index,Michigan diabetes peripheral nerve score(MDNS),Toronto clinical score(TCSS)and oxidative stress index were compared between the two groups. Results There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).The effective rate of observation group(95.00%)was higher than that of control group(75.00%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=6.275,P=0.012).Compared with the control group, the motor and sensory nerve conduction velocity of the control group after treatment were faster, the improvement of inflammatory factors and oxidative stress indexes was better, and the MDNS score and TCSS score levels were lower, and the differ-ence was statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion The combined application of moxibustion and infrared radia-tion therapy can effectively promote the disease control of patients with type 2 diabetes peripheral neuropathy, and can effectively improve the patient's condition, avoid the further malignant progression of the patient's condition, and con-tribute to the protection of the patient's health.
