Application of Ozone Injection in Cervical Nerve Block in Patients with Radiculotic Cervical Spondylosis and Its Effect on Inflammatory Pain
Objective To study and analyze the effect of ozone injection on inflammatory pain after cervical nerve block in patients with radiculotic cervical spondylosis. Methods A total of 84 patients with radiculotic cervical spondy-losis admitted to the 907 Hospital of PLA Joint Logistic Support Force from May 2021 to May 2023 were conveniently selected as the study objects and were divided into two groups with 42 patients in each group according to random number table method. The control group received cervical nerve block treatment alone, and the observation group re-ceived ozone injection treatment based on the treatment of control group. The clinical efficacy, degree of neck and shoulder pain, cervical function and serum inflammatory indexes were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the observation group(97.62%)was higher than that of the control group(80.95%),the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.480,P=0.034).Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)scores and Neck Dysfunction Index(NDI)scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group 1,12 weeks after treatment, the dif-ferences were statistically significant(t=3.017,5.645,2.275,3.360,all P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of High Sensitivity C-reactive Protein(hs-CRP),Interleukin-6(IL-6)and Interleukin-8(IL-8)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(t=4.936,2.545,2.879,all P<0.05).Conclusion Ozone injection has a remarkable effect on cervical nerve block in patients with radiculotic cervical spondylosis, which is beneficial to alleviate inflammatory pain symptoms and accelerate cervical function recovery.
