Evaluation of Clinical Efficacy and Safety of Integrated Traditional Chi-nese and Western Medicine in the Treatment of Chronic Secretory Otitis Media
Objective To explore the efficacy and safety of chronic secretory otitis media treated with integrated Chi-nese and Western medicine. Methods A total of 200 patients with chronic secretory otitis media admitted to Xinghua People's Hospital of Taizhou City,Jiangsu Province from January 2020 to December 2022 were simple randomly se-lected as the study objects.According to different treatment methods, they were divided into control group and study group, with 100 patients in each group. The control group was treated with clarithromycin tablets, and the study group was treated with clarithromycin tablets combined with Huatan Tongqiao Decoction. The clinical efficacy and safety of the two groups were evaluated. Results The total effective rate of the study group was 99.00%,higher than that of the control group(92.00%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.188,P<0.05).Before treatment, there was no significant difference in the levels of audiology related indexes and inflammatory factors between 2 groups(both P>0.05),after treatment, the levels of audiology related indexes and inflammatory factors in the study group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The treatment of chronic secretory otitis media with integrated Chinese and Western medicine is superior to single Western medicine treatment, which can promote the improvement of patients'audiology related indexes, and has high clinical safety.
