Objective To explore the therapeutic significance of iontophoresis in traditional Chinese medicine for chronic low back pain,in order to guide the treatment and research of chronic low back pain.Methods A total of 100 patients hospitalized for chronic low back pain in the Orthopedics and Traumatology Department of Xiamen Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine,Fujian Province from October 2021 to May 2023 were randomly selected as the study objects and divided into two groups by random number table method.23 patients in the control group received acu-puncture and infrared radiation,and 77 patients in the observation group received traditional Chinese medicine ionto-phoresis on the basis of acupuncture and infrared radiation.Pain degree and dysfunction score were compared be-tween the two groups.Results After treatment,the pain degree and dysfunction scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).Conclusion The ap-plication of iontophoresis in the treatment of chronic low back pain has achieved good therapeutic effect,which can re-duce the pain degree of patients and improve the dysfunction.
