Clinical Analysis of Acupuncture Treatment for Chemotherapy-related Nausea and Vomiting
Objective To analyze the effectiveness of acupuncture in the treatment of chemotherapy-related nausea and vomiting.Methods 84 patients with chemotherapy-related nausea and vomiting admitted to Xuzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2023 to January 2024 were conveniently selected as the study objects,and they were divided into control group(conventional treatment)and observation group(acupuncture treatment on the ba-sis of the control group)by envelope method,with 42 cases in each group.The therapeutic effectiveness,functional status,traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome score,levels of hemoglobin,albumin and prealbumin of the two groups were compared.Results The total effective rate of the observation group(92.86%)was higher than that of the control group(76.19%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.459,P<0.05).The Karnofsky functional status score in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically sig-nificant(P<0.05).The scores of TCM symptoms(nausea and vomiting,loss of appetite,plain face,little qi and lazy speech)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically sig-nificant(all P<0.05).The proportion of vomiting with a degree of 0 in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,and the proportion of vomiting with a degree of I~Ⅱ was lower than that in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture is effective in treating chemotherapy-related nausea and vomiting.
