Clinical Analysis of Cold Snare Polypectomy for the Treatment of Tuber-less Colorectal Polyps(5~20 mm)
Objective To investigate the clinical effects of cold snare polypectomy(CSP)in the treatment of tuberless colorectal polyps(5~20 mm). Methods A total of 76 patients with tuberless colorectal polyps(5~20 mm)admitted to Dafeng People's Hospital of Yancheng City from March 2022 to September 2023 were conveniently selected as the study objects.According to the random number table method, they were divided into EMR group and CSP group, with 38 cases in each group. They were treated with EMR and CSP respectively. The total polyp removal rate, complication rate, time for single polyp removal, hospital stay, gastrointestinal function recovery time, titanium clip utilization rate and specimen recovery rate were compared between the two groups. Results The complete removal rate of polyps in CSP group was 100%,which was higher than 86.84%in EMR group, the difference was statistically significant(χ2=7.037,P=0.007).Compared with EMR group,CSP group had higher specimen recovery rate, and lower complication rate and titanium clip utilization rate, the time of single polyp resection,of hospital stay,of gastrointestinal function recovery were shorter, the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion For the patients with 5~20 mm tuberless colorectal polyps,CSP treatment can effectively improve the complete resection rate, and the inci-dence of complications is lower, the treatment and hospitalization time of patients are shorter, and the effect is more ideal compared with the EMR treatment.
