Efficacy of Percutaneous Pedicle Screws and Open Pedicle Screws in the Treatment of Lumbar Spine Fractures
Objective To explore the effect of percutaneous pedicle screws and open pedicle screws in the treatment of lumbar spine fractures. Methods The clinical data of 88 patients with lumbar vertebral fracture admitted to the Third People's Hospital of Yancheng City from December 2020 to September 2023 were retrospectively selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the different surgical methods.A total of 43 patients in the control group received open reduction pedicle screw internal fixation, and 45 patients in the observation group re-ceived percutaneous pedicle screw internal fixation.Perioperative indexes, vertebral anterior margin height and local-ized posterior protrusion compression angle were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results Perioperative indexes of observation group were better than those of control group, the differences were statistically sig-nificant(P<0.05).The anterior vertebral margin height in the observation group was(0.81±0.14)cm,which was lower than that in the control group(1.04±0.38)cm,the difference was statistically significant(t=1.995,P<0.05).Compari-son of the localized posterior protrusion angle of the vertebrae between the two groups of patients before and after sur-gery,the differences were not statistically significant(all P>0.05).Conclusion Percutaneous pedicle screw surgery has less bleeding, shorter operative and hospitalization times, and is comparable to open surgery in the correction of poste-rior prominences.
