Clinical Effect of Puncture Catheter Drainage for Hepatic Abscess
Objective To study the effect of puncture catheter drainage on patients with hepatic abscess. Methods A total of 76 patients with liver abscess in Zhouning County Hospital from October 2021 to October 2022 were randomly selected as the study objects and divided into control group(38 cases with incision and drainage)and observation group(38 cases with ultrasound-guided percutaneous liver puncture and drainage)by random number table method. The therapeutic effect of the two groups was compared. Results The antipyretic time(3.23±0.72)d,extubation time(10.24±1.12)d,and hospital stay(13.28±1.32)d in the observation group were significantly shorter than those in the control group[antipyretic time(5.86±0.90)d,extubation time(13.15±1.26)d,hospital stay(16.97±2.14)d],and the differences were statistically significant(t=14.066,10.641,9.047,all P<0.05).The inflammation index,36-item Short-form,Visual Analogue Scale and incidence of complications in observation group were better than those in con-trol group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion For patients with liver abscess, percutaneous liver puncture with the assistance of ultrasound equipment can be used, and after treatment, the postop-erative recovery speed of the patients is faster, the inflammation reaction is quickly alleviated, the pain of the patients is reduced, and the complications are less, which is safe and effective.
