Important Role of Kangaroo Nursing in Reducing Neonatal Pain Caused by Invasive Nursing Procedures
Objective To systematically evaluate the important role of kangaroo nursing in alleviating neonatal pain caused by invasive nursing procedures. Methods A total of 106 full-term newborns treated in Wuwei Liangzhou Hos-pital from January 2018 to January 2022 were conveniently selected as the study objects and divided into two groups by random number table method, with 53 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing, and the study group received kangaroo nursing. The nursing indexes of the two groups were compared. Results During and af-ter puncture, the blood oxygen saturation of the study group was higher than that of the control group, and the heart rate was lower than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The onset time of crying and painful face in study group were later than those in control group, and the duration of crying and painful face were shorter than those in control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05);at different time points of immediate,30 s,and 60 s of invasive surgery, the number of patients with painful facial fea-tures in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05);after puncture, the Neonatal Infant Pain Scale score of the study group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the satisfaction of the study group was 94.34%,higher than that of the control group 77.36%,and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=6.290,P=0.012).Conclusion Kangaroo nursing has an obvious effect on alleviating newborn pain caused by invasive nursing operations, can shorten the duration of newborn crying and painful face,is conducive to the improvement of newborn physiological and psycho-logical conditions, and newborn families have high satisfaction.
