Risk Factors and Nursing Strategies of Surgical Incision Infection in Or-thopedic Patients
Objective To analyze the risk factors of surgical incision infection in orthopedic patients and summarize the nursing countermeasures. Methods Clinical data of 245 patients undergoing orthopedic surgery in Heze Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from September 2022 to August 2023 were retrospectively selected to investigate the incidence of surgical incision infection.According to the occurence of infection, they were divided into the infected group(n=35)and the uninfected group(n=210).Univariate analysis and Logistic multivariate regression analysis were performed for the risk factors of surgical incision infection in orthopedic patients. Results Among 245 patients,35(14.29%)had surgical incision infection. The incidence of open trauma, malnutrition, diabetes mellitus, operation site of waist and hip or lower limb, operation time≥3 h,incision type Ⅲ,incision length≥10 cm in infected group were higher than those in uninfected group, the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that the independent factors of incision infection in orthopedic surgery included open trauma, operation time, diabetes, malnutrition, incision type, surgical site and incision length(all P<0.05).Conclusion The risk factors of incision infection in orthopedic surgery include open trauma, malnutrition, diabetes, surgical site, surgical time, incision type and incision length.Clinical attention should be paid to it and reasonable nursing mea-sures should be taken to ensure the medical treatment effect and safety of patients.
