Comparison of Radiofrequency Ablation and Hepatic Arterial Chemoem-bolization in the Treatment of Recurrent Liver Cancer
Objective To analyze the effect of radiofrequency ablation and hepatic arterial chemoembolization in the treatment of recurrent liver cancer on the level of tumor markers. Methods 60 patients with recurrent liver cancer treated in Zhangzhou Hospital of Fujian Province from January 2020 to January 2023 were prospective randomly se-lected as the study objects and were divided into the observation group and control group by random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with hepatic arterial chemoembolization, and the observation group was treated with radiofrequency ablation. The total effective rate, the occurrence of adverse reac-tions during treatment and the improvement of tumor markers(abnormal prothrombin, carbohydrate antigen 199,alpha-fetoprotein)before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results There were no statisti-cally significant differences in tumor markers in the two groups before surgery(P>0.05);the levels of abnormal pro-thrombin,carbohydrate antigen 199 and alpha-fetoprotein in the two groups were improved after surgery, and those in observation group were better than in control group, the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The total effective rate of the observation group was 93.33%,higher than the control group's 73.33%,the difference was statisti-cally significant(x2=4.320,P=0.037).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reac-tions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The efficacy of radiofrequency ablation in the treatment of recur-rent liver cancer is better than that of hepatic arterial chemoembolization, which is more conducive to the control of pa-tients'disease and improve the expression of tumor markers.
