The Effect of Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation on the Efficacy of Medication in Patients with Obsessive-compulsive Disorder
Objective To explore the value of combined repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation for patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder treated with medication. Methods A total of 80 patients with obsessive-compulsive dis-order admitted to the Second People's Hospital of Guizhou Province from January 2022 to October 2023 were ran-domly selected as the research objects. They were divided into reference group(40 cases)and study group(40 cases)by random number table method. The reference group was treated with oral fluvoxamine, and the study group was treated with repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation on this basis of the reference group. The treatment time was 4 weeks. The Yale-brown Compulsive Disorder Scale(Y-BOCS)score and Symptom Checklist-90(SCL-90)score and the adverse reactions incidence of were compared between the two groups after 2 weeks and 4 weeks of treat-ment.Results After 2 and 4 weeks of treatment, the Y-BOCS score of the study group was lower than that of the ref-erence group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The scores of each dimension and total score of SCL-90 in the study group were lower than those in the reference group, and the differences were statisti-cally significant(all P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Repeated transcranial magnetic stimulation on the basis of fluvoxamine for patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder can further improve the therapeutic effect, quickly reduce the presence of obsessive-compulsive symptoms, and have a positive significance on the improvement of mental state, and did not in-crease the risk of adverse reactions, the application value is high.
