Clinical Study on the Treatment of Intertrochanteric Femur Fractures in the Elderly with Asian Type Proximal Femur Anti-rotation Intramedul-lary Nail Fixation
Objective To investigate the effect of application of Asian type proximal femur anti-rotation intramedul-lary nail fixation in elderly patients with intertrochanteric femur fractures. Methods A total of 65 elderly patients with intertrochanteric fractures admitted to Xuzhou Mining Group General Hospital from March 2020 to February 2023 were conveniently selected as the research objects. The blind touch two-color ball method was divided into study group(n=33)and control group(n=32).The reference group was treated with traditional proximal femoral locking plate, and the study group was treated with Asian proximal femoral anti-rotation intramedullary nail fixation. The op-eration condition, hip joint function and postoperative complications rate were compared between the two groups.Re-sults The surgical time, intraoperative blood loss, incision length, fracture healing time of the study group were better than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The pain,function,defor-mity,and joint range of motion scores in the hip joint function of the study group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The postoperative complication rate in the study group was lower than that in the control group(3.03%vs 18.75%),and the difference was statistically significant(x2=4.178,P<0.05).Conclusion Elderly patients with intertrochanteric femur fracture were better treated by application of Asian type proximal femur anti-rotation intramedullary nail fixation, with improvement of the patients'operation,im-provement of the hip function, and reduction of postoperative complications.
