Efficacy of Tiotropium Bromide in the Treatment of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
Objective To explore the therapeutic efficacy of tiotropium in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease(COPD).Methods A total of 70 cases of COPD patients admitted to Binzhou Central Hospital from January 2021 to January 2022 were selected as the study objects.They were divided into the control group(35 cases,conventional sup-portive treatment)and the observation group(35 cases,treatment with tiotropium bromide was added on the basis of the control group)according to the different treatment methods.The clinical efficacy,lung function and quality of life scores between the two groups were compared.Results The treatment efficiency of the observation group was 94.29%,which was higher than 77.14%of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(x2=4.200,P<0.05).After the treatment,the forced expiratory volume in one second,forced vital capacity,and forced expiratory volume in one second/forced vital capacity in the observation group were better than those of the control group,and the differ-ences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After treatment,the COPD Assessment Test and Modified Medical Re-search Council Dyspnea Scale of the observation group were lower than those of the control group,the Six-minute Walk Test were better than that of the control group,and the differences were statisitcally significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion Tiotropium bromide improves clinical outcomes,improves lung function,and enhances patients'exercise tolerance and quality of daily life.
