Effects of Tiotropium Bromide Inhalation Powder Mist Combined with Carbocisteine Tablets on Clinical Symptoms and Lung Function in COPD Patients
Objective To explore the application value of tiotropium bromide inhalation powder mist combined with carbocisteine tablets in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease,and to analyze the effects of this combination of medi-cation regimen on the main symptoms and pulmonary function indexes of patients.Methods A total of 86 patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease admitted to the Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture People's Hospital from February 2022 to February 2024 were conveniently selected as the study objects and were divided into two groups according to the principle of random grouping,with 43 cases in each group.The control group was treated with tiotropium bromide,and the observation group was treated with carboxymesteine tablets on the basis of the con-trol group.The number of acute exacerbations,score of symptom,pulmonary function indexes,related inflammatory in-dexes,total effective rate and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 97.67%(42/43),which was higher than that of the control group 83.72%(36/43),the difference was statistically significant(x2=4.962,P<0.05).The levels of acute exacerbation times,symptom score and inflammatory factors in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the lung capacity and forced expiratory volume in the first second were higher than those in the control group,the differences were statisti-cally significant(all P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion In patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease,the combination of tiotro-pium bromide and carboxymesteine can improve clinical symptoms and lung function indicators,reduce the number of acute exacerbations,and reduce the expression level of related inflammatory indicators,with good safety.
