Clinical Effect Analysis of Methylprednisolone Combined with Azithromy-cin in Treating Children with Mycoplasma Pneumoniae Pneumonia
Objective To investigate the efficacy of methylprednisolone combined with azithromycin in children with mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia. Methods The clinical data of 96 children with mycoplasma pneumonia admitted to Nan'an Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from December 2022 to December 2023 were retrospectively se-lected,and the children were divided into two groups according to different medication regimens-48 cases each.Con-trol group was given conventional symptomatic+azithromycin, observation group 4 was given methylprednisolone on the basis of control group.Symptom remission time, therapeutic effect, inflammatory factor index and adverse reaction index were compared between the two groups. Results The effective rate of the observation group was 95.83%,which was higher than that of the control group(81.25%),and the difference was statistically significant(x2=6.095,P<0.05).The remission time of cough, fever and pulmonary rales in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(t=9.951,6.436,9.265,all P<0.05).After treatment,observa-tion group C-reactive protein(CRP)and procalcitonin(PCT)decreased to(8.69±2.21)mg/L and(0.29±0.15)ng/mL.It was lower than that of control group(14.15±3.56)mg/L and(0.46±0.21)ng/mL,and the differences were statistically significant(t=9.028,9.388,both P<0.05).Conclusion Methylprednisolone combined with azithromycin in the treat-ment of children with Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia has the effect of shortening the course of the disease,im-proving the efficacy, improving the inflammatory response of the children, and has a better drug safety.
